Feeling very inspired lately, I had this great idea to use GameMaker to make a video-game of Meteor Man.
All 4 possible costumes shown in the movie, in Meteor Man's developmental stages, would be playable, including a "photography" button in one costume. Similar to Sega's Iron Man game on the Nintendo Wii in 2008 - all of Iron Man's costumes ever are playable, even the all-gold costume shown less in the movie.
Different levels would have different styles of gameplay. Some RPG-like levels, in which you can walk around and see books all over the place, ready to touch, with an incredible variety ranging from martial arts methods to A Midsummer Night's Dream. Some flying levels, where Meteor Man is flying 5 feet over the ground. Authentic Google Earth photography of Washington, D.C., which is not creepy at all, would provide an accurate overhead angle of the city.
Also: Tanuki. The main character would be a tanuki, a raccoon dog from Japanese mythology up against other kinds of Japanese mythological monsters, with the baku (nightmare demon) as the primary villain. The tanuki character would be capable of shape-shifting into the nearest enemy. In raccoon form, he would be capable of running/scampering off quickly.
I've just got so many great ideas. Oh, and I'll use my Casio keyboard to compose original music, and who knows how it will end up sounding, but hopefully great. If I don't write that down in this blog I'll likely forget it.
